About the Role
The objective of the position is to ensure that all maintenance tasks on Poultry Breeder Production farms are maintained, monitored and reported on. The role is based in the Clifton/ Allora area of the Darling Downs.
Maintain and Repair plant and equipment through an effective maintenance program, including plant, equipment, grounds and vehicles.
Develop and implement a preventative maintenance plan and system to protect the business assets
Oversee and conduct proactive and reactive maintenance work
Oversee Fault finding on PLCs
Maintain required levels of production, reduce downtime and search for and implement efficiencies
Contribute to safety, production, cost, compliance, planning, reporting and improvement outcomes
To liaise with Farm Managers on the ordering of materials from suppliers.
Lead a small team to achieve the above objectives
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
Must have an Electrical Mechanic licence
Demonstrated understanding and exposure to both Biosecurity and Animal Welfare principles
Effective time management skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines and targets
Have a level of physical fitness commensurate with the physical demands of the job
Be able to keep records to company standards and demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
Hold a current car licence
Welding experience advantageous
Be available for the occasional call outs
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Communication skills, with an ability to relate to a diverse range of people
