Events are able to be staged in Queensland in compliance with relevant Public Health Directions. They may need formal approval from Queensland Health or they may be required to operate in compliance with a checklist or COVID Safe Plan.
There are a variety of resources and available information to assist event organisers to navigate the COVID Safe Events Framework and deliver a COVID Safe event in the Southern Downs.
Southern Downs Regional Council has put together a COVID Kit for local event organisers, including large corflute signs that you can display at your event.
These corflutes are available to pick up from our Warwick or Stanthorpe offices. To book the corflute signs for your event, contact the Economic Development and Tourism team via email or phone 1300 697 372. Alternatively, download and print the above PDFs to display at your event.

The Queensland Events Guide, developed by Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) has been designed to assist local organisers throughout an entire event lifecycle, to ensure they are equipped to stage the best event possible.
The comprehensive resource provides advice on everything leading up to an event, event delivery and sustainability, through to post-event activities, whilst highlighting the important link between events and tourism.
